Although things aren't ideal at the moment, we are all coming together to embrace and find light in being stuck in our homes. With schools being closed, workplaces being closed it seems we all have a bit more extra time on our hands.
Whether it's cooking, baking or arts and crafts one of the best ways to combat going stir-crazy is to get creative! That's why we have combined a list of 5 creative, fun and entertaining family-friendly things (that don't include the iPad) to do while we're all self-distancing.
1. Family Talent Show
Do your kids have secret talents you don't know about? Do you have a hobby they don't know about? Have a family talent show! It's a great way to not only get moving, but to learn about each other. It's also great entertainment and tons of fun. Trust us on this one.
Â
2. Games
Everyone loves games! Break out the boardgames, play some card games or create some games of your own. Games are a great way to throw in some education, skill building and are a fun distraction from reality.
Â
3. Get In The Kitchen
Family cooking and baking is something that is always encouraged. Get some aprons for the kids, and pick a handful of recipes that you can make over the next few weeks! With tons of categories like breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks - the possibilities are endless! It's also a great way to bond and teach your kiddos some kitchen skills.Â

4. Make Schoolwork Fun
For a lot of kids, schools are closed for the time being, if not the rest of the year. But, it's important in these moments to still encourage school work with your kiddos. Workbooks, homework and lessons are one of the best ways to keep the school momentum going. Plus, what's cooler than learning with your parents as your teachers?

5. Enjoy Each-other's Company
Remember that we're all in this together and that we're all doing the best we can. Having moments like this helps us to step away from the fast-paced lives we're living and just embrace and enjoy to moment with the ones we hold close.
